On September 21st, Chen Xiaofeng, managing director and chief financial officer of China Overseas Group, met with HSBC managing director US President and CEO Mr. Patrick Burke and HSBC managing director Global Mr. Thierry Roland, Chief Executive Officer of Banking and Marketing, Americas, Mr. Lex Malas, Co-President of HSBC Global Banking in North America, and Mr. Matthew Hung, Managing Director of HSBC Global Banking in China.

Director Chen thanked HSBC America for its support for the development of China Shipping America’s New Jersey project, and introduced the recent development of China Shipping Group and China Shipping America’s project. Director Chen said that HSBC is one of the major strategic banks of China Shipping Group. It provides great support in bank loans, bond issuance, mergers and acquisitions, whether in Hong Kong or overseas markets.

Mr. Patrick Burke introduced HSBC's recent developments in the United States, and also expressed his views on US tax reforms, economic prospects, real estate development, and the impact of e-commerce on shopping centers. Mr. Patrick Burke expressed his full confidence in China Shipping America's existing projects and its next expansion, and proposed to strengthen communication between the two parties and achieve win-win cooperation.

Relevant colleagues from the Group’s Financial Treasury Department and the 688 Financial Treasury Department accompanied the meeting.
