HKQAA CSR Plus Mark

(11 January 2016) China Overseas Holdings Limited (hereinafter referred to as “COHL” or “the Group”) had been awarded the HKQAA CSR Plus Mark by Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency in two consecutive years to recognize the Group’s effort in corporate social responsibility and the excellent performance in sustainable development.
The assessment of HKQAA CSR Index Plus covers the seven core elements, including Organizational Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, The Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues and Community Involvement and Development. It is also based on the same proprietary sustainability performance assessment methodology with the Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index Rating and Research, which enables participants to benchmark themselves against more than 600 listed companies in HKSAR and PRC. COHL was scored above the Index score (50) and the overall sustainability performance score was deemed to be “Satisfactory”. Meanwhile, the Group performed the best in “Labor Practices” and “Community Involvement and Development”.
